Keeping Butts Off the Beach!
The BIL is reminding visitors that butts are litter too. Signs awarded by a grant from Keep Virginia Beautiful can be seen along the boardwalk.
The Buckroe Improvement League received a $500 grant from Keep Virginia Beautiful. This money will be used to purchase pet waste bags for the two Pet Waste Stations that the BIL maintains at Buckroe Beach.
Proposed Water Park at Buckroe
In June, 2017, plans for a large inflatable water park were postponed due to permits needed by the Virginia Marine Resource Commission (VRMC).
Hampton City Council has approved the project, however the structure has not yet been purchased.
Citizens are urged to contact both VMRC and Hampton City City Council to share their opinions for or against the water park.
